Ballard Point Condominiums Recap

Here’s a recap of what happened with the sale of Ballard Point Condominiums that the Board of Directors proposed to the homeowners.

The Board of Directors send out emails to all of the homeowners at Ballard Point condominiums the first week of August stating that 33 Realty LLC is interested in buying out the homeowner’s condos at a set price some of the owners never received this email and were very shocked that this is going on without their knowledge.

  • 1-Bedroom Units $129,000.00
  • 2-Bedroom Units $173,000.00
  • 3-Bedroom Units $212,000.00

On August 9, 2022, they cast their votes and the homeowners won. 377 No(s) and 16 Yes. This came a long way in fighting the Board of Directors on the sale of Ballard Point condos.

Now let’s go back to a month ago (July) before all of this came about.

The Board of Directors we’re going around the property doing some upgrades trying to improve the property appearance by purchasing overhead canopies at all of the front door entrances to replace the old wooden roof-style canopy.

Fast forward back to August after the homeowners voted they all were talking about the new canopies that the Board of Directors purchased so why did they have to purchase this? It comes out to be maybe the Board of Directors knew about the sale back in March and that’s why these canopies got to be put up so fast before the voting happens.

Let’s take a quick look at Glen Oaks Commons in Des Plaines right up the street from Ballard Point condominiums. As you can see (above) at their door entrance they have a beautiful green canopy as well with their logo of a tree on the canopy. Is this just a coincidence or is this leading up to something? Why would the Board of Directors purchase this green canopy exactly matching Glen Oaks Commons with their logo on it? Is this truly actually leading to the sale of Ballard Point Condominiums back on August 9th? thinking that the homeowners would have voted yes? As you can see there are a lot of questions unanswered that we as a community have to investigate this matter.

Makes me want to think that the Board of Directors was praying for the sale of Ballard Point Condominiums that’s why they purchased these green canopies with the Glen Oaks Commons logo on them. Was this sale a part of Glen Oaks Commons?
