Unfortunately, pivotal concerns raised by the community, encompassing issues with the swimming pool, roads, roof leaks, and carpeting, were left unattended. Despite optimism for resolutions with the new board, frustrations have intensified, particularly directed at the board president.
Over the past decade, community members have expressed dissatisfaction and dismay over the previous board’s lack of action regarding persistent roof leaks. Rather than implementing permanent solutions, the prior board resorted to temporary patchwork, leaving the underlying problem unresolved. Expectations were high that the new board would address this longstanding issue by not just repairing but also replacing the corroded roofs. Regrettably, this crucial matter remains unattended, contributing to heightened community discontent and additional financial burdens on residents dealing with ongoing roof leaks in their units.
The current president of Ballard Point Condominiums lacks the requisite experience to efficiently oversee a complex of this magnitude, resulting in resident frustration and unaddressed concerns. In the coming weeks, a petition will be initiated to advocate for the removal of the current president. The community is encouraged to voice their apprehensions at the upcoming board meeting, emphasizing the urgency of replacing the president with a candidate possessing relevant experience to manage a complex of this scale.
As we enter 2024, it is clear that our current president has failed to achieve any substantial goals, leading to substandard living conditions within our community. The deteriorating state of our housing and roads, coupled with the persistent closure of the swimming pool during the summer, underscores the imperative need for a change in leadership. With the anticipation of new board members, it is pivotal for all residents to actively express their opinions and rally for the removal of the current president. A shift in leadership is essential to address pressing issues and improve the overall well-being of our community.
